Slow Surrender (Struck by Lightning) by Cecilia Tan

Great book!
Karina meets James in a New York bar where she's filling in as a waitress for the night to help out her sister. They begin playing an erotic game that continues to escalate and, though he won't tell her his name, their feelings for each become intense fairly quickly. It a little bit of a modern day Cinderella story but not in any way cheesy or too clichéd. Well...except for the whole damaged billionaire thing. Still, this one has such a different feel that you don't even think of it.
It was well written, it was hot, the characters were interesting, it was hot. Oh, and did I mention it was HOT? I was a little surprised at how much Karina went along with no questions asked, but good for her for being so adventurous. Seriously, who doesn't want to be more adventurous? The Foreshadowing was a little obvious so that it was pretty clear what his secret identity was (or one of them, anyway) but there's still so much mystery to him that it doesn't really matter.
I'll say it again, I LOVE cliffhangers! I have something to look forward to and I get to read this one again when the next one comes out. I CANNOT wait for the next one in this series!
